LUBBOCK, TX--- As college students prepare to graduate in just a few days, where they will find jobs is not only at the front of their minds, but the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce as well.
Recent surveys show employers are looking to hire more graduates for 2014.
Several students we spoke with say they have already found jobs, but they won't be staying in Lubbock.
Lubbock Chamber of Commerce chairwoman Alona Beesinger said these jobs could be found in Lubbock.
"We've got almost 50 thousand students with Tech and all of the other surrounding," said Beesinger. "We've got to make sure that the businesses that are the chamber and the other businesses are aware that there's people."
The Chamber of Commerce says they will be starting initiatives soon to get graduates to stay and work in the Hub City, talking with business CEO's seeing what they need. Then hoping to go to the universities in the area and match graduates with jobs.
"We've got to get some good entry level positions that pay well enough that they're going to stay," says Beesinger. "I think there's maybe somethings that you don't even realize businesses are looking for the students don't realize the businesses need."
