Earlier this week the cowboys solidified their offensive line for several years to come by signing left tackle Tyron Smith to an eight-year contract extension. Now that leaves Cowboys fans to wonder about two other expiring contracts in camp: Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray. Both will be free agents after this season.

When healthy, Murray is a dynamic piece to the Cowboys offense rushing for over 1,100 yards in 14 games, but that is the most he has played since joining the Cowboys.

Then you have Bryant, whose playmaking ability is evident, accounting for over 2,500 yards in the last two years.

“I think those discussions are always ongoing,” said Jason Garrett, Cowboys head coach. “We have a lot of young players who represent what we want and we want to get these guys locked in for a long period of time.”

“They're really good players they love the game, they're tough, they're productive, but there's a business side to this as well. You know, we have people on that side working on this and it's my hope as the coach of this football team that we get these guys locked up as we go forward but I understand the other side as well."
