Ag Journal Weather Forecast: Week of January 22nd

LUBBOCK, Texas - Happy Monday everyone! The winds have finally started to calm down following the passage of yesterday's cold front and we have been left with temperatures in the mid-50's. Over the next four days we are expecting high's to move into the upper 50's and low 60's with lows in the low 20's to low 30's. This means it is still important to bring pets and potted plants indoors during the late evening and early morning hours and to ensure that sprinklers are turned off to prevent a multitude of issues on the roadways. Sunshine will be abundant and we are expecting calm to breezy winds. Then on Friday night through Saturday morning we are watching for out next cold front to push across the South Plains knocking temperatures back into the mid-50's on Saturday afternoon with winds picking up in speed. Unfortunately, this front will be another dry one, but we are watching for rain potential next week.
