LUBBOCK, TX -- Dry weather will continue across the South Plains for the next seven days. Expect fire and drought conditions to remain elevated. According to the KAMC HD StormTeam, a strong cold front on Thursday will plunge the area into an arctic chill. This cold spell will only last 24 hours with high temperatures by the weekend approaching the lower 60s.
