LUBBOCK, TX-Paul Campbell is a busy man.

“We’ve been very busy,” Campbell said.

He is the Operations Manager for Market Street on 98th, where the lines are not slowing down.

“It’s a madhouse,” Gary Moore said.

Campbell said the rush is a combination of incoming bad weather and the Super Bowl.

Both are good for business.

“I feel like this year people are very excited because of the Broncos and the Tech players being in the Super Bowl,” Campbell said. “So, I think that is very encouraging.”

“Broncos, Broncos,” that is who Tina and Grady Thompson said they are rooting for.

The Thompsons said they got most of their shopping done the day before, but came back for a few things.

“It wasn’t too bad [yesterday], today is a little bit worse,” Tina Thompson said. “I think people are freaking out a little bit about the weather, but I think it will be fine.”

And Gary Moore did not have much either.

“I didn’t have much, but I did have to wait in line at the checkout stand for a while,” Moore said. “Anytime there is weather, or the Super Bowl, or a big event coming up for the weekend, we always prepare,” Campbell said. “For Super Bowl weekend we are making extra trays and Super Bowl cakes. We run numbers and staff up to get ready for such a large weekend.”

But the one group that did not seem to mind was the Girl Scouts selling cookies.
