LUBBOCK, TX - Brownfield's Sophia Campa-Peters may have just returned home from Boston, but they are not home for long. Sophia was invited by the White House to this year's National Prayer Breakfast with President Donald Trump.
The National Prayer breakfast is celebrating its 66th year in Washington, D.C. this week.
As well as Sophia, attendees include the President, lawmakers and guests from more than 140 nations.
Sophia's mom tells us the surgery on January 26 went really well, and her recovery from brain surgery is simply remarkable.
We're told Sophia is honored to be invited to the event, and is looking forward to thanking those she can for the prayers.
Her family also asked us to thank KAMC viewers for all of your prayers.
