Joe Louis Martinez was shot on November 11, 2011 and now his parents and friend are filing charges against all parties they feel are responsible for his death.

Police say 16-year-old Martinez was leaving Club Rio on 3511 Avenue Q, when two guys followed him in their car.

According to court documents, Phillip Gonzales was the driver and Cristobal Torres was the one who fired four shots.

They have filed a lawsuit against Gonzales, Torres, Club Rio and the company who owns Club Rio.

The family is asking for over $50,000 for both medical and funeral expenses.
