LUBBOCK,TX- Tons of Texas Tech students went camping Tuesday night, but not out in a field.

They went camping at the Texas Tech ticket office.

Only 350 students will attend this weekend's NCAA Super Regional, hosted by the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

The students in line at 1:30 this morning, wanted to make sure they would be part of that 350.

Students pitched tents, and shared snacks, but senior PJ Andress said once the doors opened, competition was on.

"An hour before they started selling tickets, and they, everyone just started rushing the door and then it kind of slowly formed into the long line that it is now," Andress said.

He camped with six of his friends.

Others like Alex Patty decided to sleep in, and get there at 5:30 this morning instead.

"Oh yeah, it was definitely hard getting up this morning, but it was worth it," Patty said. "It's worth it to get in line and get these tickets."

This is the first time in program history Tech has made it to the super regionals.

Tickets were passed out  to all the students by 9 am.

The game is sold out.

Next stop for the Red Raiders, if they win this series, is Omaha, Nebraska for the NCAA College World Series.
