LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock has very few bike lanes and it's route signs are sometimes blocked by trees or placed too high for cars and cyclists to see.

Greg Davis, owner of DFC Cycles and Fitness in Lubbock, says there are lots of well planned routes in Lubbock but the sign issue stops the cyclists from using them.

There are only 6 roads with bike lanes in Lubbock and all the lanes run North to South with none running East to West.

Placing bike lanes on every road would take away a lot of off street parking but Davis suggests a middle lane to save space and also make cyclists more visible.
