LPD Investigating After Shots Fired, One Injured Monday Morning

LUBBOCK, TX - The Lubbock Police Department is investigating after a report of shots fired Monday morning leading to one person being taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Police were called to the area of 36th Street and Elgin Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Monday.

Police said one person was taken to Covenant with moderate injuries. Police said the victim had been shot in the leg.

According to police, the caller who reported this told police it may have happened on Elgin Avenue around 40th Street or 50th Street.
