Reed's daughter, 6-year-old Kiarah, was born with a tumor on the side of her face.
She describes life with Kiarah like a "waiting game."
"It's not cancerous, but they treat it like it is cancer," she said.
But life got a little sweeter for the Reed family on Saturday.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted Kiarah her wish to go to Disney World.
In July, Kiarah will join her brothers and parents on a plane to Florida.
"I'm excited, I think it will be more family time that we've lost," Reed said.
Kiarah is just one of 15 people in the entire U.S. with her condition.
She's forced to travel from Lubbock to Dallas for all of her doctor's appointments.
Reed said Kiarah will likely undergo another surgery when she's older, but there's no guarantee her doctors will be able to remove the tumor for good.
If you'd like to help the Make-A-Wish Foundation grant wishes like Kiarah's, call the Lubbock office at 806-785-9474.
