LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock County is cleaning up roads and property littered with trash from illegal trash dumping.

County Commissioners Mark Heinrich and Lorenzo "Bubba" Sedeno are spearheading the campaign by starting the clean up and cracking down on illegal trash dumpers with tickets and fines.

Lubbock County is holding a Clean-Up Day Saturday May 3rd from 8:00 am-1:00 pm.

Roll off dumpsters will be at Redwood Ave, North of FM 40, to clean up the area and local residents and property owners can also bring their trash and large waste for free.

There will be 6 roll away dumpsters and once they are full the clean-up will be done.

They will not accept shingles, paint, batteries, or other hazardous materials and freezers and refrigerators must have a red tag stating the refrigerant has been removed.
