Lubbock County Sheriff's Office Uses Mobile Command Unit in Thursday Night Response

LUBBOCK, TX - Thursday night, the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office deployed their mobile command unit to the 7400 block of Auburn Avenue.

Deputies were called to that area around 10:40 p.m. Thursday for a report of a burglary and an assault.

Lubbock County Sheriff Kelly Rowe said when they were called there, they believed there was possibly a subject barricaded inside a home there.

Sheriff Rowe said there was a standoff for several hours as they believed there may have been children inside the house.  When deputies got inside the home, they found no one inside.

He said the children in question were located and safe after speaking to their mother.

No one was injured.
