Lubbock Police Investigate Stabbing

LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock Police responded to the call of a stabbing victim Monday evening at 34th street and Avenue L. Initial reports said the victim claimed several Hispanic males robbed him and stabbed him. Police said the man's injuries were serious but not life threatening.

After further inquiry, police investigated a possible second stabbing at 36th street and Avenue N which was possibly related.

A police report on Tuesday identified the victim as Lee Roy Castro, 52.  Among the items taken from were his driver license, social security card and some cash.

No arrests were made Monday night, and police continue to investigate.
