LUBBOCK,TX- Lubbock residents are feeling inspired, and they are using that inspiration to give back to the community thanks to a new Facebook page 'Lubbock Pay it Forward.'

The page was started by Greg Rodriguez and his wife. The couple said they both had instances in life where the community really helped them out, and they try to always give what they can. After they saw EverythingLubbock's story on Adolf Peters, the man who spent his birthday handing out cash on University, the couple wanted to create a new medium for residents to share these stories.

"We decided, 'well why not create a Facebook community that helps strengthen our community,'" Rodriguez said.

The page has morphed from a place to share stories, into a place that creates stories. The page now receives donations from local residents and businesses to go on and continue doing good deeds. Recently they received a donation of binders and notebooks that they took to Cavazos Middle School.

Check back with EverythingLubbock later in the day. We will have more from Rodriguez and Adolf Peters.
