Man and Dog Accused of Attacking Lubbock Police Officer

According to Lubbock Police on February 19th at 10:30am an officer responded to a suspicious subject at 2267 34th Street Nothin' Butt Smokes.
Police say 54-year old Larry Don Jordan and his dog attacked Officer Garrett Winters as soon as the officer approached to speak to Jordan.
Police say Officer Winters had to fight and fend off the dog while simultaneously placing Jordan under arrest.
Other officers arrived and helped finish taking Jordan into custody.
Jordan was arrested and transported to the county jail after being treated for minor injuries at UMC.
Officer Winters was treated for minor injuries at UMC and released.
Animal Control apprehended the dog
