LUBBOCK, TX-- Love's Travel Stop is proposing to build in North Lubbock by the airport, off of I-27 and Regis Street.

But many residents in this area are concerned the new Love's will affect their quality of life.

Wednesday night, District One Councilman Victor Hernandez had a meeting specifically for citizens to voice their concerns.

Those in attendance opposed to the project are worried about noise, increased traffic and crime.

However, others at the meeting say they are excited about the new love's and the positive changes it could bring such as, more business and convenience for getting gas and food.

Representatives from Love's Travel Stop were in attendance at the meeting to address those questions about on-site security, parking, noise and drainage.

This includes 24- hour surveillance and a fence built around the property.

Lubbock's City Council approved the construction once, but will have to agree on a second vote for it to actually happen.
