One Transported To UMC After Overnight Shooting In Downtown Lubbock

(LUBBOCK, TX) - Lubbock police are investigating an early morning shooting.

It happened just before 2:00 Friday morning,  near 18th Street and Texas Avenue.

The victim called police saying he'd been shot twice. 

He was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries. 

It's unknown what led to the gunfire.

We're told one person was arrested and police did recover a weapon.
