Police Investigate Two Early Morning Robberies

LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock police are investigating two early morning robberies that happened within 15 minutes of each other.

The first one happened around 2:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven near 50th Street and Avenue U.

The suspect was described as a black man, who was armed with a handgun.

He was dressed in a black t-shirt and dark jeans.

According to scanner traffic, the suspect took off running from the store. 

The second hold-up happened around 2:45 a.m. about 1.5 miles from the first one.

Police responded to the Stripes at 66th Street and University.

While it's unclear if it was the same person, the suspect was described as a black man wearing all black.
