LUBBOCK,TX – Texas Tech’s berth into the College World Series inspired new team spirit from and alumni alike, and it also brought new business to some Lubbock stores.

“We have around 20 new styles available,” said Red Raider Outfitter Manager, Katie Savage. “We also have baseball caps, and baseballs coming in. We’ll have car decals, pennants - lots of fun stuff.”

It only took two days for Red Raider outfitters to receive new clothing for the team’s trip to Omaha.

“We had to bring in four extra staff members along with our three staff members just to make sure those orders get out in a timely fashion to all of our fans,” Savage said.

“Everything we received … we’ve actually already sold,” Savage said. “We have second orders coming in.”

“It’s selling fast. It’s selling really fast,” she said.

Premiere Cinemas is also hoping to see a boost on game day. Director Joe Dennett said Premiere has always offered Red Raider football games on the big screen, but starting Sunday Premiere will be showing baseball as well.

Dennett said, “Guests can enjoy the game even if they can’t go to it, or if they just want the experience of watching it on the big screen.”

With 278 available seats and in-theater drink service, Premiere is hoping to have a large crowd to buy concessions.

Premiere’s tickets are free, and will be available at 9:30 am Sunday. Red Raider Outfitters will be open until 6:00 pm every day this week.
