LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock has a shortage of plumbers causing long wait times and increasing prices.
Plumbers must have hundred of hours of apprentice work and take written and practical tests to become licensed.
Chuck Hall, Co-Owner and General Manager of Earl's Plumbing, heating, and Air in Lubbock, says a lack of training services makes it difficult to pursue plumbing as a profession.
Hall also says the perception of plumbing being a very dirty job is also a problem.
Hall says if they don't get more plumbers the wait time will only increase along with the prices.
