LUBBOCK, TX -- Tyler Neslony drove in Stephen Smith in the 4th Inning with a triple to left field, which was the game winning run for the Texas Tech Red Raider baseball team Saturday against the College of Charleston at Dan Law Field in Lubbock.

Charleston did not make it easy. In both the top of the 3rd and the 8th Brandon Glazer made it to third base. But both times he was thrown out at home on a fielder’s choice throw to the home plate.

Tech pitcher Chris Sadberry pitched eight shutout innings in the win.

Game 2 is Sunday at 2:00 pm.
