LUBBOCK,TX- Incoming and returning students to Texas Tech start the school year grieving the loss of three student who lost their lives within the last month.

Morgan Lee, 20, died on August 13th at UMC, after she was involved in a car accident with a Lubbock Police Officer at the intersection of Clovis Rd and Loop 289. Tucker Arnold, 18, died on August 19th after his Dodge pick-up struck several cars and poles while traveling down 49th street before finally hitting a tree in a woman's front yard.  Dalton Debrick, 18, was found dead at a house on the 3600 block of 36th street Sunday morning.

All three students were set to start classes at Tech on Monday.  Police are still investigating all three cases; they said alcohol may be a factor in both the Arnold and Debrick cases, but they are waiting for toxicology reports to be completed.

Texas Tech Media Director, Chris Cook, released this statement Monday regarding Debrick's death: "The university is saddened by the loss of students, and we extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Dalton's family and friends during this difficult time."

The Lubbock Police Department told Everythinglubbock.com last week that they will not be pressing charges on anyone for the death of Tucker Arnold.  The Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission said their investigation is pending; they are waiting to see what LPD finds with their investigations.

Mark Menn, with TABC, said, if alcohol was a factor in Arnold's case,  they are more interested in finding out whether or not he got the alcohol through a licensed business; not individual.

LPD said they are still investigating where the men were, and who they were with before their deaths. If a university fraternity was involved in either case, LPD said it would be up to the school and fraternal national charter to take action.
