Texas Tech Wins on Walk-off for Second Straight Night

Tim Proudfoot was the hero on Friday driving in Zach Davis in the 9th inning of Texas Tech's 3-2 win over West Virginia.

The Red Raiders fell behind when Chris Sadberry surrendered the first run of the night on an Ryan McBroom single in the 5th inning.

The Mountaineers would add another run in the 6th but the Red Raiders cut into the lead in the bottom of the inning on Bryant Burleson's solo home run to left.

Texas Tech (39-16 overall, 13-10 Big 12) evened the game up in the 7th on Adam Kirsch's eighth home run of the season.

Cameron Smith picked up the win in relief pitching 3.2 scoreless innings.

The Red Raiders go for the series sweep on Saturday at 2 p.m.
