LUBBOCK,TX- A little fire and a lot of feet flowed down Avenue Q Wednesday as the Special Olympics Torch Run kicked off.
The annual event raises money for athletes to compete in the statewide Special Olympics.
Lubbock police, probation and sheriff's officers will run from Lubbock to Abilene and then on to Arlington, where the week-ends festivities begin.
A lot of the participants have been involved with the event for several years.
Many of them who have family and friends who participate in the Special Olympics.
