The Twist'd Texan Food Truck is only a month old but business is going well for Chad Montgomery.

Montgomery said at the moment he is mainly catering events.

"Right now I'm doing special events and just kind of waiting for some opportunities to open up around Lubbock but special events are kind of what's keeping me busy right now."

The biggest event on the Twist'd Texan calendar is the First Friday Art Trail where Montgomery said they have been asked to set up indefinitely.

"This is a great venue for exactly what I've been wanting to do. I couldn't think of a better place to set up on a Friday night."

David Minkley was excited to see a food truck in Lubbock.

"I'd love to see more food trucks in Lubbock. I've kind of taken an interest in food trucks lately to see what different offerings there are out there."

Montgomery said there is a city ordinance banning food trucks from selling on the street but a meeting with mayor makes him confident it will be lifted in time.

"It's just going to be a matter of time before we can have free reign of where we would like to set up."

The Twist'd Texan has a menu that changes with the season but Montgomery said there are a few staples that will always be there.

"Every time we set up we have at least one of our signatures which is our twisted pig which is a pork taco or our Asian chicken taco."

The Twist'd Texan also debuting an Oktoberfest Bratwurst that is sure to leave customers coming back for more.
