Victim Robbed Outside South Lubbock ATM Overnight

(LUBBOCK, TX) - On February 11, 2014 at 2:00 am police responded to 7806 Indiana (First Bank and Trust) where a suspect had approached a victim whom was utilizing the after hours deposit box and demanded money, while pointing a gun at the victim.

Corporal Fair located the suspect in the alley at 3500 78th and pursued him on foot to the alley of 3400 78th where Corporal Fair took the suspect into custody. 

The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Henry Clay Smith.

A bag of money, identified as the victims, and an air soft pistol were found that the suspect had tried to discard while running. 

Smith was arrested and transported to the county jail.

He has been charged with Aggravated Robbery.
