(WOLFFORTH, TX) -- A local elementary school raised more than $8,000 for Make-A-Wish-- enough money to grant one child his or her wish.

And that's exactly what they did.

"I am extremely excited that he gets to have this privilege. I know if I was in his position, I would be really excited," Bruin Smith said.

Make-A-Wish is sending Caleb, 5, to Disney World.

But it was Bennett Elementary students, like Smith, who made it possible.

"We did spirit chains, we did days like twin days and stuff like that and we did pickle pops," he explained.

Bennett Elementary hosted several fundraisers over the last few months and raised $8,016 total-- enough money to send Caleb and his family to Florida.

"I'm just thrilled that we raised enough money for him," Smith said.

"They're so young, but yet they were able to do something so good for other people, you know. That's very thoughtful," Caleb's mom, Patricia Soto, said.
