LUBBOCK, TX - These Texas Tech students and their parents placing bids are hoping to raise a lot of money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
"So we have a fishing trip in Port Aransas. One of our sisters actually has a boat there that their parents donated, and a fishing trip. So we're extremely excited about that." said Abby Day, auction organizer.
A variety of items are up for auction, and the profits go straight to the kids who need it most.
"Hopefully we'll make enough to grant a few wishes," said Day.
This annual auction is organized by the Chi Omega sorority at Texas Tech. The sorority's national philanthropy is the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
"One of our speakers is a girl whose wish was granted this summer. We hope to raise money to grant more wishes," said Carolyn Lackey, Chi Omega adviser at Texas Tech.
If you'd like to get involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, just give them a call at 806-785-9474.
