LUBBOCK, TX - Residents of Anton, Texas continue to feel the effects of a series of hail storms that hit the town over summer.
"It pretty much just beat the whole town up. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a single house that wasn't damaged," Ricky Benton, a resident of Anton said.
"Things are just now to the point where you are starting to see some progress," Mayor Blake Cate, the Mayor of Anton said.
Mayor Cate said the other reason the rebuild has been so slow is due to the lack of contractors.
"We haven't even replaced the window in my house yet. It has been three months, but contractors are behind," Mayor Cate said.
"Just to schedule contractors, we aren't going to be able to fix our house until November. Were just hoping there isn't a freeze before then because we could get cold," Benton said.
The cleanup will be hosted Saturday October 14th starting at 9 a.m.
