Do the preparation the night before if you have time, if not recipe will still work.
1. Remove membrane from ?bone side? of rib.
2. Place in boiling seasoned water for 20-30 minutes (season the water with your
favorite dry rub, garlic, black pepper or other flavor you like.
3. Remove and rinse. Place in a container and marinate overnight if time permit in
refrigerator in Apple Juice or your favorite marinade.
4. Next day: Remove from container, pat dry then douse with some Worchester
sauce. Sprinkle your favorite dry seasoning on the ribs, bone side first then meat
side so the spice does not fall off when you turn the ribs.
5. Place on a foiled cookie sheet, if you have a raised baking rack use that on top of
the cookie sheet.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, after 20 minutes turn ribs and brush with
your favorite BBQ sauce. Cook for 5 minutes then turn ribs and brush sauce on
the meat side, cook for an additional 5 minutes to ?set? the sauce.
7. Remove, slice into individual ribs and enjoy along with some Apple BBQ baked
beans and coleslaw.
Simple BBQ Beans
1. Drain two to three cans Pork and Beans
2. Place in big skillet or pot.
3. Add one chopped onion, 1 cup brown sugar, ? cup mustard, and one bottle of
BBQ sauce. I sometimes add a little Honey to the mix. Adjust brown sugar and
mustard to your own taste, this is about the amounts we use.
4. Bring to a light boil and then simmer till thick, about 15 minutes.
5. Allow to cool some and then serve with your Ribs, Brisket or Chicken!
Note: we sometimes add a little bbq meat from a previous cook!
