Beer Burglary Suspect Arrested in Floydada

FLOYDADA, TX - Floydada Police released details Tuesday about the arrest of Corey Rosa early Sunday morning.  Police said officers with FPD and Floyd County S.O. responded to an alarm at the Fast Stop, 102 South 2nd Street.

“They arrived to find the front door’s glass broken by a planter box,” police said.

“The Officers and Deputies began to search the area for the suspect when an intoxicated male, later identified as Corey Rosa, began yelling at the Officers, ‘Here I am, come and get me!’”

So, they did.

Police said, “Corey [Rosa] was found within a block from Fast Stop and was arrested for the burglary.”

FPD said Rosa had several cases of beer that were later traced back to the store.
