WOLFFORTH, TX - The Frenship Tigers football team plays Midland Lee at home Friday night.
Cheerleaders, and the Frenship marching band will be on hand, but baton twirlers play a big rule under the Friday night lights.
Frenship is home to two teams of baton twirlers, and you can find them twirling at all the Tiger Football games.
The season starts for the twirlers in the Summer when they attend a week long twirling camp. They continue to practice through August which is when they will perfect their routines on the field.
During the week, they practice as a team one or two times a week to get ready for competitions. Frenship High School Twirling Coach Brittany Ashcraft said the team works extremely hard to represent the school at various competitions.
"They compete at local baton competitions for the National Baton Twirling Association and they compete in an auxiliary championship as well as UIL which they will ultimately end up at state competition in May," Ashcraft said.
