Jason Corley Predicted To Win Lubbock County Commissioner - Precinct 2

Jason Corley ahead of incumbent Lubbock County Commissioner - Precinct 2, Mark Heinrich, according to the early voting results.

"We got the results in for the early voting. We're very excited. Its looking so far, we will keep watching the vote," Corley said.

Corley hosted a viewing party at his home in Slaton, alongside friends and family.

Heinrich was the incumbent in this race. He is about to finish his 3rd 4-year term in this position.

Late campaign accusations about Corley being late paying property taxes.

Corley is a Slaton business owner with roots in Lubbock. He graduated from Lubbock-Cooper High and currently owns an online gas and oil retail store.
He said he worked hard and knocked on nearly 3,400 doors in hopes to win the primary election.

"We worked really hard. I had a lot of good people helping me," Corley said.

"I am very proud of all of my accomplishments over the past 12 years as I have watched Lubbock County grow and I have served the citizens of Lubbock County to the best of my ability. Thank you,"  Heinrich said.

Whoever wins the primary will go against Democrat Nick Harpster in November.
