LUBBOCK, TX--- One local artist is gaining some national recognition after a piece she made ended up on Duck Dynasty's season finale.

Last fall, Jodi Bynum set up a booth at an art show in Canton, Tx. Little did she know Missy Robertson from the show would walk in and buy a piece of her art that says 'I can do all things through Christ.'

"Its more of a God thing. In fact it is a God thing that I was even there," said Bynum.

On the shows season finale, Bynum's art was displayed very prominently in the home of the reality family, making this small town artist, an overnight success.

"Its crazy, it just like blew up asking 'how can I get this piece?'" she said. "People out of Georgia, Louisiana messaging saying 'I saw your piece!'"

But Bynum isn't only happy her work is recognized, she says its the messages she puts into her art that makes it worth it.

"It's just amazing to see sometimes what you work for being represented the right way," she said. "If it works for me and and it helps me when I see that reminder then I'd like to think it helps anybody who see's it."

For six years, she and her brother have been creating art, running their own business JodiKeithCo.

"This is home decor, but what I do is not girly at all," Bynum said.

Even if her piece was never shown nationally she says she's just happy to be doing what she loves.

"Whenever you work really hard and I put as much as I physically and mentally can into this business without just like letting it consume my life. But, I love this company. I love what we do and what we stand for."
