LUBBOCK, TX-- Texas Tech students begin classes on Monday and local stores across University Avenue have take notice of the rise of business since their return.
"It's definitely affecting us and affecting our sales," said Jonathan Cicherski, Varsity Book Store sales associate. "We are having textbooks and more orders coming through."
For Fuzzy's Taco Shop on Broadway they say the summer semester has helped keep them busy.
"This summer wasn't as bad as the summer's before," said Fuzzy'soperating partner, Lee Escobedo. "And we are just looking forward to next week, the next home game should be phenomenal."
