Organ Project Benefit Recital

Hosted by St. John's United Methodist Church

LUBBOCK, TX - On Sunday, March 5, St. John's United Church of Lubbock will host a benefit recital to help fund for work on the church's organ.

The organ has belonged to the church for 25 years and has been played by several members of not only the church, but the community as a whole as well.

Admission to the recital is free, but the church will be accepting donations for renovations for the organ.

The church is working to raise $70,000 to accomplish the Organ Project. This funding will allow the needed maintenance and refurbishment to take place, with a few additional pipes to aid in service playing and accompanying.

The recital will begin at 5 p.m. at the church located at 1501 University Avenue. Clint Barrick will be assisted by the Chancel Choir of St. John’s United Methodist Church under the direction of Justine Halamicek; as well as Betty Dotts, organ; Jeannie Barrick, piano; and  Mark Halamicek, trumpet
