YEA! of Lubbock Encourages Students to Apply for 2017-2018 Session

Classes Begin in October, Early Applicants Given Priority Consideration

LUBBOCK, TX - The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (or YEA!) of Lubbock is inviting students to apply for their upcoming 2017-2018 session, which will begin in October of 2017.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy, Lubbock’s prestigious pre-college entrepreneurship program, is designed to expand this unique educational philosophy to high school and middle school students. The program helps students come up with an idea for a business or social movement that is aligned with their talents and interests, or assists them with fine-tuning an existing concept that they already have. With the help of local entrepreneurial mentors and instructors, students develop an actual business plan, and pitch their plan to a panel of ‘investors’ for start-up funding. Academy students graduate the 30-week after school program with a fully-formed company that they own.

Classes are held each Tuesday, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. after school. Applications will be accepted until the class is full, however early applications are give priority consideration. Space is limited.
