LUBBOCK, TX - The Lubbock location of Applebee’s at 4th Street and Milwaukee Avenue closed Saturday. The Applebee’s along South Loop 289 remained open.
A sign was posted Saturday morning on the door that said, “This Applebee’s location is closed.” EverythingLubbock.com was told that employees were not given prior notice.
“Thank you for being our neighbors,” the sign said. “Please visit our other Applebee’s location.”
In August, Applebee’s parent company, DineEquity, announced that up to 160 locations nationwide would be closed.
A call to the location at 4th and Milwaukee late Saturday morning went unanswered.
A call to the South Loop location revealed that it remained open as normal.
