At the same time the City of Lubbock has gone out for bids to help with upkeep at the 160-acre City Cemetery. Within the last three weeks some have complained that the city had not kept the cemetery properly mowed – especially in light of recent rainfall. On Sunday EverythingLubbock.com did a little checking and parts of the cemetery looked well kept. Other parts might not have been to everyone’s satisfaction.
The estimated value of the lawn-care contract is not listed in the bid document. Bids are due on Tuesday afternoon and city reserves the right to split up the work and hire multiple companies.
