City to Spend Up to $500,000 for New Roof at Municipal Hill

LUBBOCK, TX -- The City of Lubbock will spend up to $500,000 to replace the roof at Municipal Hill, which was damaged in a June 2013 wind storm.  That price tag includes HVAC and electrical piping. 

Earlier this year the city spend more than $60,000 to clean up damaged sheetrock and ceiling tiles.  The city’s water utilities department has been temporarily re-located out of Municipal Hill. 

Companies wishing to do the work have until August 5 to submit a proposal.  Once a contract is approved the work is to completed within 60 days.
