Specifically his Twitter page said, “I have 100k to anyone who has nude photos or videos of #kendalljones at Texas tech [sic]. She deserves to be a target.”
As of Wednesday evening the message had been retweeted three times. Dickinson is not the official Democratic candidate in the race against Dave Brat who defeated current office-holder Eric Cantor for the Republican nomination.
Dickinson’s page also said, “100k bounty for nude photos or videos of #KendallJones expose this lowlife scum. She hunts animals, let’s hunt her.”
Jones became a controversial when she posted pictures of her African safari hunts on Facebook including the picture she took with a dead lion. Jones defended her hunting trips, saying they were perfectly legal. She received numerous death threats on Facebook.
But now Dickinson is the target of some hate speech. Subtle threats of violence and name calling were Tweeted in response to Dickinson’s solicitation.
One Twitter user, Sean, said, “The previous tweet was brought to you by scumbag @VoteMike2014.”
Another user, Jack, wrote, “I call out you're [sic] #Sexist tweets.”
One Twitter user wondered if Dickinson’s comments might be a death threat while another called him “perverted.”
Dickinson’s campaign Twitter page has 1,373 followers and has posted 6,970 Tweets as of Thursday evening.
