The proposal is to change North University Avenue from the Marsha Sharp Freeway to Caesar Chavez Drive from Heavy Commercial (C-4) zoning to Retail Commercial (C-3) zoning on both sides of the North University Avenue. Any interested parties or concerned citizens are welcome to attend.
Councilmember Hernandez said, “It is my intention to bring all interested parties together at this meeting. This Zone Change Request proposal has the potential to affect the future business and commercial development along North University, and this meeting will be a good opportunity for residents to ask questions and to have an open discussion about the proposed zone change.”
Currently, the Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to hear the proposal at their June 3rd meeting.
