Driver Died in Gaines County Crash, DPS Says

SEMINOLE, TX - The Texas Department of Public Safety said a crash Thursday morning in Gaines County took the life of one man.

DPS said Jose H. Ceniceros-Pedroza, 61, was driving a pickup truck east on FM 1757, “at a speed unsafe for the existing road conditions.”  DPS said Ceniceros-Pedroza lost control of the truck, and it rolled.

DPS said it was raining at the time.  The specific speed of the truck was not listed.  The speed limit along that stretch of roadway was listed as 75 miles per hour.

Ceniceros-Pedroza was pronounced dead at Seminole Memorial Hospital.  DPS said he used a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
