Follow Up: 3 American Commercial College Employees Plead Guilty

LUBBOCK, TX -- Last week three employees of American Commercial College pleaded guilty to misdemeanor federal charges. Brenda Richardson, corporate secretary; Trecia McNelly, loan coordinator; and Mary Angelyn Summers, business & financial coordinator all pleaded guilty to financial aid fraud. Each faces up to one year behind bars, or a fine of $100,000 or both.

In separate proceedings, Lubbock-based American Commercial College pleaded guilty to defrauding the government out of $972,794. President Brent Sheets faces up to five years in federal prison.
