Frenship ISD Hosting Region 17 Special Education Field Day on Wednesday

WOLFFORTH, TX (NEWS RELEASE) - Students from across the Region 17 Education Service Center area will have the opportunity to join together for competition, laughter, smiles and fun times as Frenship ISD hosts this year’s annual Special Education Field Day Wednesday at Peoples Bank Stadium.

Opening ceremonies begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by a variety of Olympic style games for the athletes until noon.

“Frenship is honored to host this year’s Region 17 field day,” said Doug Smith, FISD Special Education Director. “We love giving these students the opportunity to get outside for a while and meet new friends from different schools. It will be a great day for everyone involved.”

A sample of the games scheduled for tomorrow include: free throw shot, quarterback= throw, bean bag toss, hula hoop, bowling, and T-ball home run.
