WOLFFORTH, TX (NEWS RELEASE) - The following is a news release from Frenship ISD:
On Friday, December 1, Frenship High School received a report of a firearm sighted in the building. The report started the chain of events that took place during the next few hours until the scene was deemed safe just before 4:00.
Yesterday’s incident at Frenship High School was an unfortunate prank. This prank, however, involved conversation serious enough to take the steps Frenship ISD staff followed including a high-level lockdown of the building and calling 911. There were no firearms located at Frenship High School during yesterday’s search of the building. Three students were taken into custody in connection to the incident. We appreciate the collective efforts of everyone who assisted in the evacuation safety efforts yesterday, and we are thankful that the day ended with our students safely
reconnected with their families.
Frenship High School will return to normal schedule beginning Monday. Counselors will be readily available throughout the day for our students.
We will continue to keep you updated as details becomes available. Please do not hesitate to contact FISD with any immediate concerns.
