Information Sought on Abandoned, Rabid Bat Left at South Plains Wildlife Center

LUBBOCK, TX (NEWS RELEASE) - Lubbock Animal Services needs assistance locating the person who left a bat at the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, October 5. The bat tested positive for rabies, and it is important that Lubbock Animal Services determines where and when the bat was found.

The unknown person dropped off the bat around 7:30 a.m. and was driving a white, extended cab Chevrolet truck with a toolbox in the back. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lubbock Animal Services at (806) 775-2712.
