Juvenile Arrested for Aggravated Assault, Robbery

LUBBOCK, TX - The Lubbock Police Department arrested a juvenile suspect Wednesday for aggravated assault and aggravated robbery.

The aggravated assault case was in connection to a shooting on November 3 in the 2900 block of Amherst Avenue, according to an LPD news release.

Police responded to a burglary call where a victim was found bleeding from a gunshot wound to the abdomen, according to the LPD police report.

The victim's wife said the suspect kicked their door in shortly after they arrived home, according to the report. When the victim tried to push the suspect out of the house, the firearm was discharged as the victim fell to the ground, and the suspect left the scene.

The victim is in serious condition, according to UMC.

While investigating the shooting, the news release states that detectives found the suspect was also involved in an aggravated robbery at Logan's Roadhouse on October 29.
