LUBBOCK, TX (NEWS RELEASE) - The following is a news release provided by the Texas Department of Transportation:
Work to pave a segment of the new westbound Marsha Sharp Freeway (MSF) mainlane is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 16. The paving operation will require crews to close the inside westbound MSF main lane.
The lane closure will give work crews the space needed to stage equipment and safely perform the paving operation. The lane closure will continue into the early evening. Drivers should anticipate slow moving traffic and delays throughout the day into the afternoon rush hour.
The work will take place weather permitting and is part of a $17-million project to widen six miles of the Marsha Sharp Freeway from a four-lane to a six-lane facility.
